Many brands Have to launch electric cars promising Best performance, high-end features, and premium quality with the aim to dominate the electric 4W market in India.
There are already several manufacturers all set to make a significant impact on the EV market by introducing their new-age electric cars in 2025.
Several EVs by popular brands are up for launch from TATA XUV, Mahindra’s XUV, Hyundai’s SUV to Maruti Suzuki’s affordable EV.
Top 5 Upcoming Electric Cars in 2025:-
1.Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara#
Maruti Suzuki has recently revealed the production form of it’s eVX concept, calling it the eVitara in Milan, Italy. The electric SUV is likely to be unveiled in January and shall make its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo in March 2025.
It is the first-ever global strategic electric SUV offering from the brand and it showcases the design language Maruti will embody for its future lineup. It shall be expected to go on sale via the premium Nexa chain.

The evitara SUV would be underpinned by an all-new dedicated electric platform that will be used for its future EV lineup.
The electric SUV will have an integrated dual-screen setup, with one screen for infotainment and the other for the digital driver’s display. It will also have amenities like automatic AC, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and many more comfort and safety features.
The eVitara SUV will be offered with two battery packs: 49 kWh and 61 kWh with FWD and AWD options as well and is expected to offer a claimed driving range of up to 550 kms.
49 kWh battery is paired with a front-wheel mounted electric motor which produces a power of 144 PS and a peak torque of 189 Nm.
61 kWh battery is available with both-wheel drive options. The FWD is mated to an electric motor which produces 174 PS and 189 Nm whilst the AWD gets a more powerful motor producing 184 PS and 300 Nm.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara Price in India
The All New Upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVitara is expected to have a starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). This would be competitive since the battery would be produced locally.
2. Hyundai Creta EV#
The Hyundai Creta EV will redefine electric mobility with its sleek design, spacious interior, and advanced technology. It would feature smooth acceleration, great range, and many safety features, offering a much more comfortable and connected travel.
The electric SUV will feature a design similar to that of its ICE version with specific changes like a closed grille and other adjustments to differentiate it from the current ice versions.
It shall get different LED lighting, new wheels, front-mounted charging points, connected tail lamps, and redesigned bumpers.

The electric Creta’s cabin will differ significantly from the current ICE version. It will have a 4 dot steering wheel, ventilated front seats, 360 camera, ADAS, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and many more features.
It is anticipated that the Creta Electric will also be loaded with premium features like its ice model. At the moment, there is no confirmation about the battery pack and electric motor in the Creta EV. However, it is expected to have a driving range of at least 450 km.
Upon launch, the Creta Electric will rival with other electric SUVs such as Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 and even upcoming models like Maruti Suzuki eVX and Mahindra BE 6E.
3. Mahindra 3XO EV#
Mahindra is all geared up to expand its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the XUV 3X0 EV. This new model is expected to strengthen its presence in the electric SUV segment.
The XUV 3XO EV will have a similar design and features as its ICE model, while the battery pack is expected to be similar to the XUV 400 EV.
The XUV 3XO is likely to get a fresh set of bumpers, tweaked fenders reworked headlamps compared to its ICE version. It also features a new dual-tone alloy wheel design.
The key highlight is the front right-hand side fender having a charging port. A connected LED light setup can also be spotted at the back. The rest of the design is anticipated to remain the same.
The safety features are also likely to be carried over from its ICE version. The safety kit would include multiple airbags, an electronic stability program, a tire pressure monitoring system, a hill hold assist, and a rear parking camera.
It can also get an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

It is anticipated to get two battery pack options: 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh, both paired with a single electric motor producing 150 PS and 310 Nm.
It shall get an approximate claimed range of up to 456 km.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will be positioned below the XUV400 EV in the electric vehicle lineup and is expected to be launched and available in the market by the end of 2024.
XUV 3XO EV Price in India
XUV 3XO would be available with a starting price of Rs 15 lakh and could go up to Rs 17 lakh, which means it would have a much more affordable price than the XUV400 EV.
Mahindra is hoping to have a much more competitive edge with the XUV 3XO EV in its EV range to finally take on the challenge and rival the Tata Nexon EV.H
4. TATA Harrier Ev#
Tata Motors will launch the Tata Harrier.ev, an all-electric SUV, on June 3. First displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Harrier.ev is built on the acti.ev+ architecture, derived from the Land Rover D8-based OMEGA platform in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover.

The new electric SUV is expected to feature a dual-motor setup with quad-wheel drive, delivering 500 Nm of peak torque and a real-world driving range of about 500 km on a single charge. The SUV will also be available in a single-motor variant, though specific battery details have not yet been disclosed.
The Tata Harrier EV, like any other Tata car, comes loaded to the brim with features. You get everything offered with the standard car such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with ventilation, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a 10-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer.
In addition to that, the Harrier EV also gets some bespoke features such as a summon mode, where you can move the vehicle forward and backward using the keyfob. It also comes with EV-specific features such as vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-charge (V2C).
Passenger safety is taken care of by 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, electronic stability control and tyre pressure monitoring system. The Harrier EV also comes with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Engineered for performance and efficiency, the Harrier EV is powered by a quad-wheel-drive dual-motor setup delivering a peak torque of 500Nm. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), confirmed the SUV targets a real-world range of around 500km on a single charge, addressing range anxiety for long-distance travel. Exact battery details remain undisclosed.
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has sold over 200,000 electric vehicles since the Nexon.ev’s debut in 2020, solidifying its leadership in India’s EV market. The Harrier EV, alongside the upcoming Sierra.ev, will expand Tata’s portfolio, which currently includes the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, and Curvv.ev.
5. MG ES5 EV#
MG has revealed its new electric vehicle ES5 ahead of its launch in India. The MG ES5 is a compact, single-motor rear-drive electric SUV that was unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The company has recently introduced the ES5 in China and the new electric SUV is expected to be soon introduced in India as well.
The ES5 gets an all-new design language for its exteriors and interior layouts with extensive changes from the current range of EVs. It has a sharp look with simple and elegant aesthetics.

The exterior is equipped with a closed front bumper, sharp LED lights, wide wheels with plastic trims, and a curved bonnet line. Whilst it’s interior has a large 15.6-inch floating screen and an LCD 10.25-inch instrument cluster.
Additionally, it has the gear shifter mounted behind its D-shaped steering wheel. It also has a wireless charging pad and a pair of cup holders.
The entry-level model gets four speakers while the other trims get up to six.
The MG ES5 EV has a length of 4,476 mm, a width of 1,849 mm, a height of 1,621 mm, and a 2,730 mm long wheelbase.
It uses a single electric motor mounted at the rear which produces a power of 167 hp and a peak torque of 280 Nm. It gets a top speed of 170 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds.
MG ES5 Battery
MG is offering the new ES5 with multiple battery pack options in China. The largest one is 62.2 kWh and promises a range of 525 km on full charge whilst the 50.5 kWh battery pack delivers a range of 461 km on a single charge.
It would compete with the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia EV 3, etc whenever launched.
